- מָןI m. (b. h.; מָנָה) portion, food. Num. R. s. 12 (play on א̇ר̇ג̇מ̇ן̇) the sun שיצרוהקב״ה לארוג מןוכ׳ whom the Lord has created to weave (ripen) food for creatures; ואין מן אלא פירותוכ׳ man means fruits and food (with ref. to וימן, Dan. 1:5).Esp.
